How to Lose Weight Fast

Weight loss may be within reach, and you may be able to reach your goals faster than you think!
Want to find out how?
The biggest mistake that most people make when it comes to weight loss is only making one lifestyle change.
But the reality is, there are a number of things you can do to lose weight fast. And adopting more than one strategy at a time will have you losing the weight even faster!
So here are 5 easy things you can start doing today to lose weight fast.
1. Get Motivated
Motivation is one of the biggest challenges for all of us, including myself. And this is especially true when it comes to weight loss. The truth is, there’s a lot you can do to stay motivated to lose weight.
First, make sure you set practical, attainable goals, and write them down! Then, track your progress by keeping a health and fitness journal. I recommend the Fitlosophy Fitbook, a great tool for keeping track of your exercise routines. Watching your progress on paper can really get you motivated!
Some other motivation tips include shopping smart (don’t bring the bad stuff into your house), coming up with a detailed plan that you can stick with, and rewarding yourself. If you don’t already, I recommend rewarding yourself at least once or twice a week!
2. Eat Foods that Burn Fat
There are a number of foods that actually burn more fat just by digesting them! Lean protein, for example, requires your body to burn more calories during digestion. Adding a whey protein supplement to your diet is a great option, and can also help curb your cravings but keeping you feeling full and satisfied.
I recommend the tasty whey protein supplement Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion. Other effective fat-burning options include Nutiva Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil and NOW Green Tea Extract. Fiber is another addition to your diet that helps you burn calories and stay full. A fiber supplement like Fitness Fiber can help you get the daily recommended fiber you need.
3. Ditch the Processed Foods
Go for whole food options whenever you can. This means cutting out canned foods that are high in sodium (which will add to your weight by retaining water) and frozen foods that are full of preservatives. Buy fresh ingredients that are high in vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. Avoid starchy veggies and potatoes, and always choose whole grain and whole wheat options over white bread, pasta, and rice.
These whole food options will keep you satisfied longer because they take longer to digest! They also help prevent drops in your blood glucose levels, which means you won’t encounter those deadly cravings!
If snacking is a problem for you, then make sure you have some healthy, high-protein snacking options at your disposal. Nuts, yogurt, and veggies are great options. There are also some good healthy options when it comes to protein bars. I recommend this whole foods, vegan protein bar: Organic Food Bar – Protein.
4. Get Moving
Although diet is key, being active is a major factor in weight loss. It’s really hard to skip this one if your goal is weight loss. I recommend hitting the gym and getting at least 30 minutes of cardio 4-6 days a week.
The trick to getting the most out of your cardio workout is changing things up. If you’re a beginner, make sure you’re choosing different equipment as often as possible, or get outdoors a couple of times a week. Changing things up will help you avoid plateaus in your workouts, which means you’ll see better results!
If you’re looking for something more advanced, I recommend introducing interval training to your cardio routine. Interval training involves alternating frequently between periods of high and low intensity. This is a great way to get your heart rate up and burn way more calories!
5. Lift Weights
A combination of strength training and cardiovascular exercise is ideal. The primary benefit of weight training for weight loss is that it will rev up your metabolism over the long run. This means you’ll increase your ability to burn more fat and calories even on your days off!
If you’re a beginner, I would suggest introducing a basic weight lifting routine to your workout. To really notice the weight loss benefits, aim for at least 4 days of weight training a week. Alternate between workouts that focus on legs and shoulders, chest and triceps, back and biceps, and abs/core.
To maximize your workout and your weight loss efforts, I recommend a combination of the following supplements:
A tasty, satisfying whey protein supplement. Try Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion.Pre-workout supplement to boost energy and burn fat

The diet Yoplait: Review

Posted in weight loss diet what submitted by Michele Turcotte on 23 October 2011-8: 47 pm is the Yoplait diet?
The diet Yoplait is relatively new and on the basis of the positive results of a clinical trial sponsored by the University of Tennessee, conducted in cooperation with the National Dairy Council/University of Kansas. This diet is quite low in calories (1200 calories per day) and addressed to women though there are variations for men. The caloric distribution is as follows: about 30% of total calories from protein, fat 25% and 45% of carbohydrates. Breakfast and lunch are replaced with a container of Yoplait light yogurt, granola bar or one piece of fruit and one a portion cereals.
What is the science behind this diet?
The role of dairy products in weight management is not a new concept. A variety of studies have examined the effect of calcium-rich foods on weight loss increase and decrease body fat. In such a study, published in obesity research in 2004, 41 obese subjects were divided into three groups and calorie-restricted diets (a deficit of 500 calories per day) result in a loss of the weight of a pound per week. Group 1 consumes a ‘ low-calcium diet ‘ (430 mg/day). Group 2 took Calcium supplements (1200 mg per day) and group 3 ate calcium-rich food, enough to deliver daily 1100 mg of calcium. By the end of the study that the low calcium Group had lost 15 pounds, the calcium supplemented group lost 19 pounds, and the group containing calcium-rich dairy products consumed lost 24 pounds. More important was the difference in abdominal fat is lost from the participants: the represented an average of only 19% of total fat loss in the low-calcium diet group but 50% and 66% fat lost in the second and third groups, respectively.
The University of Tennessee trial involved 340 persons who had lost weight on a low-calorie diet (designed to result in a loss of 10 kg in 10 weeks). After achieving this objective, participants were randomly assigned to a high-or low-calcium diet group (each causing the same amount of calories and% of calories from carbohydrates, protein and FAT). Their progress was followed for two years (2008 to 2010). That on the diet high-calcium consumed three servings of Yoplait light yogurt daily as a snack or meal replacement. High-calcium participants continued to lose weight on this plan still maintain their lean body mass, even more than the low-calcium-group. So, the calcium in yogurt and other dairy products may help increase a person’s fat burning ability.
Where can I find the specifications diet?
This clinical trial lead to the ‘ birth ‘ of the Yoplait diet, a ‘ 2 week tune-up ‘ plan brought to you by Yoplait, United States. The details of his plan on the Yoplait website under the tab “healthy life”. It recommends more or less after the structure of the maintenance diet plan from the test with the same name. The website offers tools and resources, such as recipes (mainly for diners club), a skeleton meal plan using the Exchange System for meal planning (with a list of what ‘ a ‘ portion within each food group and a sample week meal plan), a “tips and do ‘s” list, a printable food/shopping list and weight loss tracking sheet, as well as a Web page frequently asked questions. Recommendations with regard to exercising, non-specific. The website is just that you “must run for 30 to 40 minutes daily”.
This Is a good, effective diet? What are the ‘ pros ‘?
This ‘ tune-up ‘ diet you can lose a whopping 10 pounds in two weeks because it is low in calories and exercise. The caloric distribution is in accordance with the reference intakes integration substances for Americans (less than 35% of calories from fat, 10 to 35% of calories from protein and 45 to 65% of the calories from carbohydrates). You can access useful tools, tips and resources online for free. The daily meals includes sufficient quantities of protein, about five portions of fruit and vegetables (the minimum), three servings of dairy (especially yogurt) and some whole grains. While not a starvation diet, it is generally safe and effective for short-term use only because it is restrictive and you two meals per day with breakfast replaces low-calorie foods. The foods are readily available and, for the most part, affordable.
What are the ‘ disadvantages ‘ or drawbacks to this diet?
Many of the foods featured are General Mills ‘ branded ‘ (as Yoplait yogurt). So, some of the foods are processed, such as cereals and muesli bars. The meal plan lacks the minimum daily recommended intake of starch/grains (6 oz. or more) and low in certain essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Although walk recommended, the exercise guidelines are very non-specific and do not contain information about strength training or flexibility training sessions, which are essential for the preservation of muscle mass and overall fitness. In addition, walk or cardiovascular intensity not specified. Although called ‘ the Yoplait diet ‘ and General Mills products are included in the meal plans, yogurt and whole grain cereals that offer that same amount of calories desirable.
